Calm Purple Daruma

Hand-painted with care in a soft gradient of blue and pink, this Daruma embodies calmness and the ability to move forward despite obstacles. It was created during the making of a YouTube video, where I share the entire process behind its creation.

Each Daruma is hand-painted with Japanese gouache. They are unique pieces or part of mini-series (max. 3 or unique), all slightly different.

Each Daruma is made of clay paper mache, a light but solid material, which retains the irregularities and charm of handmade objects. This piece is made in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, Japan — a city recognized as the birthplace of traditional Daruma, producing nearly 80% of them alone.

This Daruma is a unique piece, designed as a small companion to help you keep your goals in mind and continue to believe in yourself, even when the path seems unclear.

  A short story about the eye:

  Traditionally, one begins by painting the left eye of the Daruma while making a wish or setting a goal. Once it is achieved, the right eye is painted. It's a simple yet meaningful gesture that transforms the Daruma into a silent witness to your commitment.
