Star Daruma

Carefully hand-painted in a soft blue and pink gradient, this Daruma embodies perseverance and the ability to move forward despite obstacles. It was created during the making of a YouTube video, where I share the entire process behind its birth. These are unique pieces or limited mini-series (max. 3 or 4 copies), all slightly different

Each Daruma is made of clay papier-mâché, a light but solid material, which retains the irregularities and charm of artisanal objects. It is a piece manufactured in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, Japan — a city recognized as the birthplace of traditional Daruma, producing nearly 80% of them on its own.

This Daruma is a unique piece, conceived as a small companion for the journey to keep one's goals in mind, and to continue to believe in oneself, even when the path seems unclear.

  A short history of the eye:

  Traditionally, one begins by painting the left eye of the Daruma when formulating a wish or goal. Once this is achieved, the right eye is painted. It is a simple gesture, yet full of meaning, which transforms the Daruma into a silent witness of your commitment.
